MUSIC. Is there such a thing as a music of peace? Tranquility, calm, serenity, of course. But are those just metaphorical attributes we use to describe formal qualities? Can music really reflect ideas of peace and justice and not become programatic at best, propagandistic at worst? Many pieces have been written for peace throughout the ages.
